I would not worry about buying one of Pioneer's KRP-500M Kuro panels on-line. You just need to inspect the glass panel for crack(s) before the driver leaves and to refuse the shipment if the panel is cracked. Very few KRP-500Ms crack so even that 's not worth worrying about.
Supply is very limited and on-line retailers are still offering excellent deals. Be sure the retailer you select is a Pioneer authorized dealer. The best and fastest way to check is to search for the KRP-500M on Pioneer's site and then type in the retailers zip code into "search for a local dealer zip code box" Most retailers will list there address.
