I bought Klipsch Sub-12 and Velodyne DPS-12 and have them at home.
I live in apartment(buying a house soon) and CAN NOT test these in full capacity since my neighbors are whining.
Can please somebody help me to decide which sub is better or are they pretty much the same?
I have to return one or the other in 2 days!
Thank you all

Not sure this is much help but I had the Sub-12 for two days and I was not the slighest bit impressed with it. I have never heard the Velo before.

You could return both of them and

1. not have to move either.

2. buy something recommended by the sub-humans on this site.

I'm only saying that because I don't recall seeing either of those recommended and a quick search revealed that the Klipsh is worth close to $500 which would open the door to a few different subs that get nods regular like around here.

I have heard that the Velo's are generally unimpressive until you get into bigger bucks. That's from a source that I can't reveal.

If I were you I'd bring them both back. You'll get a lot more performance for your money if you go with one of the ID companies. Check SVS or HSU. Many of the members are very fond of these two companies.

In roughly the same price range I would go with an SVS PB12-NSD. One of the better bang for the buck subs out there from what I've read. As long as you have the room of course...

Thanks for your reply guys, but i am asking about Klipsch and Velodyne subs.
I am well aware of SVS and HSU but the ones i am asking about are my only options (sad but true). Thanks for your responses.
Anyone else?

I have not heard either of these subs, but if those were my only two choices I'd pick the Velodyne. Mind you this is simply based on the fact I owned one 10ish years ago that I thought was really good. I was about 15 at the time though, so if you take my advice its kind of like you went back in time and took the advice of my 15 year old self. Or not at all like that, I'm not sure. I'm very tired.

I kept the Velodyne.
Klipsch was very loud and i could feel the "whoom" anywhere in my apartment ,in my opinion it sounded like without definition.
Velodyne is not as loud as Klipsch but has more definition to the sound i think and doesn't have that "whoom" sound (i don't know if this sound has to be present with any sub or not).
I hope i made right decision...

Honestly you most likely will not get to play any sub to it's potential living in an apartment though.
