Klipsch Synergy KSW-10

I want to buy a 10" subwoofer and right now I am looking at this Klipsch Synergy KSW-10, is this a good subwoofer? Worth the price?

I have this sub and its "ok" but I don't think its worth $230. I am currently looking to build one down the line. I have seen Velodyne 10s at Frys for around $200-400 and have heard them all there at the store. I would rate them as a better buy than the Klipsch IMHO.

Perhaps someone who has one of those can comment? I am tempted to grab one of these as a holdover.

Hello,

I would not spend the money on the Klipsch subwoofer. I think you will be disappointed. I had the KSW12 and it was not a great sub, average at best. I would get a HSU or SVS.

How big is your room? What kind of output are you looking for?
