I did a quick review of the klipsch SUB-12 that I owned for 2 days. It was a one word review and is posted below:

Ive had 2 different 12" Klipsch subs, one down firing, and one front firing...
I had those for a while, both offered I'll say good 1 note bass.....

Then I bought a real Sub... SVS, but then again, I went with a dual 12, which put me in an entirely different bracket... But the SVS is in all respects, alot more sensitive, accurate and powerful....

Svs will always trump Klipsch....

If in your position, you are able to stretch your budget a touch, maybe consider the SB-12plus.... They are getting awesome reviews...

Or Don't forget, you get a good bang for your buck with HSU...

Good Luck...

I would go with the SVS, I recently went from a Klipsch RW-12d to a HSU 3.3 w/ Turbo and have no regrets, The HSU does everything better (especially bottom end extension) and with zero port noise (my main complaint w/ the RW-12d) HSU & SVS are generally considered in the same league so yea.. Go for the SVS.

I dont doubt that mfab. But help me here; now that u all convinced me about svs, which one do i get? i looked at 2. the PB12-NSD and the SB12-Plus. My room size is 12'*14' but i am not worried about that as much as the sub performance.

As far as anything that can be bought at circuit city, SVS will blow it away. There really is no contest. I bought an NSD 12/2. I have it temporaily set up in the main room while my construction completes on my addition to the home. For 12x18x10 - the sub was over kill. For my wide open great room it fills wonderful and all my neighbors have stopped in for a listen. I'm considering the right sub for my new room except the dual is so freakin big - the wife wants it moved. What am I to do.

My PB12-ISD is the smallest SVS 12 with a single port (weighs 78 lbs). My HT room is 15' x 35' and the sub performs beautifully.

The PB12-NSD is a ported box, and the SB12 is a sealed box...

Now the SB12 has pretty good reviews like here at audioholics, but I would venture to guess it might not dig as low as the NSD being a ported box.

You can always check out the B-Stock from SVS for some savings. Or used on Audiogon.com, or even ebay.
Whatever yo do, don't skimp on the Sub, you won't regret it for a second.
I do not have any experience with either of these models...
Someone else should be better suited to give you a comparison.

Also feel free to email SVS about the differences they will answer you more articulately and are extremely quick with responses. I'll even bet they will answer you on Easter, like they did with me on Christmas... :)
