Hi,I'm looking at getting paradigm speakers,I was told different stories, one person will tell you that v2 is alot better but going by the reviews, they favor v3.I was also thinking about the rf 35's package.Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks for your help.

I listened to the Klipsch RF35 and RF5 the other week and the RF5s were much more defined, see if you can listen to the RF35 and RF5s side by side, I think you will notice a big difference. I listened to Paradigm Monitor 11s and I noticed a hole in the midrange and not a whole lot of difference to the studio 60s, I admit I wasn't really concentrating on the studio 60s at the time I was comparing the Monitor 11s against the B&W 604s which the 604s had much better mids but the Monitor 11s were brighter on the high end. Right now my favorites are the B&W 604s and Klipsch RF5s. I wish I could hear them side by side unfortunately my dealers are 90 miles apart.

I listened to the rf35's side by side with the monitor 7's, and just for the record, I and most others that I have talked to prefer the 7's over the 11's. Now, as for the klipsch vs. paradigm, they have a completely different sound, the klipsch are very aggressive and forward, what you would consider a "fun" speaker, they just beg to be played louder. The paradigms are more laid back and smother, a speaker that seems to be easier to listen to for longer periods of time. So if you like loud aggresive music, then the klipsch are for you and if not the i would recommend the paradigms. I have the monitor 7's and love them, but in the end it comes down to what you prefer. Happy listening

I also prefer the 7's over the 11's, but then I prefer the 5's over either of them.
The Studio 60's are more in line with the Klipsch RF5's price-wise and out-shine them in every aspect except spl levels (efficiency). The Klipsch are very dynamic and would be a great choice if your main use is for home theater, but I prefer the Paradigm's for music. B&W's don't really impress me till you get into the 800 series (and they are above my budget).
Personally, I prefer large bookshelf speakers plus a good sub over floorstanding speakers. The Studio 40's/CC-470's and ADP-470's are on the top of my list right now.
