Klipsch Palladium P-39F

I only found one thread on this topic here so I wanted to see what Audioholics thought about this upcoming line.

Being a bit of a rabid Klipsch fan, I got the chance to listen to the Palladium P-39F on December 18th. I was extremely priviliged to get to listen to these right after the 60th anniversery edition Klipschorn speakers in the same room using the same electronics. I don't want to use a bunch of lame "re-spewer" jargon but I most assuredly liked them better than anything else I've ever heard: Klipschorns, Avante-Garde Duo, B&W 802. The clarity of the midrange was particularly stunning.

After the listening test, I got to sit down with the acoustic engineer and Product Manager for the Palladium speakers to talk about pricing of other models in the line, get some performance #s, etc. I can post some of these if anyone is interested. If the mods here don't mind, I can post a link to my recorded interview with them.

I'm in Hartford, I work downtown Mke. What kind of equipment do you have Warpdrv? There are a bunch of us Klipsch fans who do home theater and 2ch meetups every little while; if you're into audio, home theater, and beer it's a good time.

As for when I can get a pair... I'm debating the financial feasibility of that. $15k for the mains, $3500 for the center channel, that's a big pill.

I only asked if anyone minds because it's questionable ettiquette to come onto someone's forum and post links to my Klipsch fan website.

Those speakers look awesome... 15K is a big pill to swallow...

I've been thinking of posting something HT/2ch on meetup.com, I'll definately post here if I do so. If you're not doing anything I'm screening "Sunshine" on BD for some friends on the 11th, straight shot out Hwy 60.

I just saw your comment about the curved design. The boattail curve on the back and the downwards taper on the top are for acoustic reasons. I'll have to listen to my interview again but the P-39F is something like 50" tall, so the curvature prevents standing waves inside the cabinets.

I have just been reading up on them... they look pretty nice...

I would love to see what they have done with the horn design, the cabinets are gorgeous... If you get them, I would love to see you pit them up against the B&W 802D's at my dealer, that would make for a really cool day... He has a bunch of great equipment there, mostly running Classe stuff, and Rotel.

Thanks for the Movie invite.. I would love to join your screening of Sunshine. Any Chance to check out some new setups, and meet some new people... My second SVS Plus/2 - Piano Black should arrive this week, they are showing on the delivery schedule the 11th... Maybe I should just chuck it into my Tahoe and bring it out there... !! :)

I also have a SB-12 Plus, Rosenut Plus/2 and Piano Black PB-12 Plus. I could bring one of the big ones, and the SB12. Let me know if that interests you.

They sound fantastic! I heard them connected to new McIntosh gear, which is typically not my bag, but this was really an amazing demo. Big? Yeah, they weight nearly 200lbs each. I'm still getting permission from Klipsch to post the Podcast.
