hello fellow members!

does anyone know whether a single pb13 ultra is better that a single kw120 and as I suspect (it probably is ) would it be better than 2 KW120?
I know the price range is different but anyway...
and 2 pb12 nsd vs 1 (and 2) kw120

thanks

PB-13 ultra is a fantastic sub. But expensive (justifiably so).
Klipsch sub is also pretty expensive. I would think a SVS PB-13 would destroy the Klipsch, but don't
know about dual Klipsch. I't all what you are after (depth, output), and size of your listening area
I haven't heard these subs, but have read so much about them.

I personally prefer the dual subs, and probably get dual SVS pb12 nsd for $760 shipped.
Or (I'll throw this in because I'm a fanboy of PSA, have 3 XV-15's) get dual XV-15's for $800ea less 5 percent (shipped).

Doesn't really answer your question does it?...just my opinion. :)

A character with character
I suspect a single PB13U would hold its own reasonably well against a pair of KW120s, at least in terms of raw power.

Klipsch rates the maximum acoustic output of the KW120 as 130dB @ 30Hz, 122dB @ 20Hz, and 112dB @ 15Hz, all at 1 meter, corner loaded. Conversely, the PB13U in 20Hz tune can deliver 115.5dB @ 32hz, 110.6dB @ 20Hz, and 97.4dB @ 16Hz at 2 meters, ground plane, in Josh Ricci's CEA 2010 burst testing. To convert 2 meters ground plane to 1 meter corner loaded, you'd have to add 18dB to the SVS's numbers, to get 133.5dB @ 32Hz, 128.6dB @ 20Hz, and 115.4dB @ 16Hz.
