I can get a pair of S2, a C2, and a pair of S2, as well as a 12" Klipsch subwoofer about 3 years old but in a very good condition, for around $800. Is that a good deal?

Are these good speakers?
I want to buy an Onkyo TX-NR708 THX receiver, so would these speakers be a good match for that receiver? or I should go with a different speakers set?

Appreciate any help
Thanks

If you're going to go with Klipsch, I'd recommend trying to find some used Reference series instead. They are a lot better then the synergy series from what I'm told. I bought my 2 Rf-3's, an Rc-3, and 2 Rs-3's for $500 total.

I have 2 F3's, a C2, and 2 12SUB's. I am thinking about getting rid of the F3's and the C2 and upgrading to a set of Emotiva 8.3's mains and a 6.3 for center. I really don't have any complaints about the Klipsch's, just had them for a while and I want a different setup. I already have some ERD-1's. I can say they can be cranked up pretty loud and still sound perfectly clear. I kept my treble turned down a bit because the horns can be a little harsh if I didn't. I originally ran them off my Onkyo DS787 but the interanl amp died so I switched to the UPA-7. The UPA really woke the F3's up on the bottom end. The F2's have a smaller woofer the the F3, but I think the horn is the exact same. Anyways if you decide you don't want F3's instead of the F2's, send me a PM. I also went with 2 subs because at the time I wanted a lot of bottom end, but the Klipsch sub is pretty decent if you place it in the right position.
