i bought a brand new set of klipsch in ceiling speakers I believe they are IC-525T for $175 from a friend who buys directly from klipsch. these are the commercial series. I intend to use them in my living room for surround. will these be sufficient enough guys?

It also has a rotary knob to change the ohm load but I dont know where it should be set to.

Thanks!

Probably 8ohm. They will work just fine if you like em. They are plenty adequate for your use. It'll be up to you to decide if you like the sound.

Where and how used?

Are these going in a surround system or just a 2 channel stereo system?
What do you plan on using to drive them?

If you have a newer receiver with the capacity or an amplifier, you can use the 4ohm setting. Most people feel it is unnecessary, but if you have the ability, why not use it?

I'm not sure your friend wants you blabbing the price.

You could remove the transformer, if you want. That's in there for 25V and 70V PA systems.
