I've got a pair of RF-63s and was looking at the recommended setup suggested by Klipsch. For the rears they recommend the RS-62s for $999. You can get a pair of RF-82s for $999. Is there anything wrong with using mains for the rears? It seems to me that the mains would out perform the small surrounds in every way. What do yall think?

I would agree with that statement........Bigger is sometimes better if you have the space......

IMO, the RF-82s will be more of a discrete point-source than the RS-62s. The designs are just different. The RS-62 looks to be designed to disperse sound in a wider field to give more coverage as compared to the RF-82. Just depends on what sort of set-up you want, really.

On an off topic question Adam, how do you like your PC Ultra-13? I'm looking at getting one very soon...:D

Love it. Absolutely love it. Great punch, great control, and plenty of power. I had wanted something for years that could do subsonic bass, and this sure can.

For reference, I went from a B&W ASW1000 (12" woofer, amp is something like 150W, -3db at 25Hz) to the PC-Ultra. So, I'm not comparing it to some multi-thousand dollar sub. However, it still has me smiling when I turn the movies up ten months after I got it, and I think that says something.

I think that you will be very pleased!

BTW, you can check out the difference in sizes between my old and new subs in this post from last year. The PC-Ultra is just a little bit bigger. :)
