Overheating is USUALLY caused from frayed speaker wires touching something they shouldn't. Double check your wires at the speaker ends and the receiver ends. Re-twist them if need be and make clean connections.
It can also be caused by trying to drive 4 ohm speakers, with a receiver meant to drive 8 ohms. Check these and let us know if it helps........
Good luck!

No, its just the fact that my whole reciever wont turn on, should i still check the wires, and maybe rewire it?

What was the last thing you did before you noticed you can't turn on the receiver?

First check if the power cable is connected or there is power from the mains. And if you remove all the interconnects and speaker cables to it and it still won't turn on, I'd suspect a blown fuse inside the receiver. Or it could be something more serious than a mere tip you can do on your own. I which case, you may have to bring it to the service center.

I was listening to it at volume 50 for about an hour. and then it just auto shut off, and it will turn on but nothing will happen.
