KLH 317s - anyone know of these old speakers?

<font color='#000000'>I've had these speakers in my system for almost 25 years. They are American, have 2 cones (3.5 and 9 inch) and still sound rich and musical to me. Even reasonably expensive speakers in hi-fi shops sound 'thin' by comparison.

Does anyone know anything about the company or this particular model?

<font color='#000000'>Can't tell you much about KLH, but I too had a pair of these in 1979. They were fine speakers at the time and sounded sweet and mellow.
(I upgraded to Spendor BC1's which I kept for 4 or 5 years then had to get smaller speakers due to a move to a smaller room.)
It looks like they have gone downmarket tho'
