Just bought a Cadence XSUB at ubid.com for my brother. Took it out of the box after UPS delivered it. Was in perfect condition, double boxed. Heavy, very good construction. Took off the grill. Noticed the frame of the grill was cracked and was protruding out of the grill just slightly. No big deal. You should see the amp on this thing. 350 watt and powerful. Keep in mind I paid $189 shipped for a 55lb 12" sub. Hooked it up to my system. Blew away my 10" Velo. Yeah, I'm upset. I did notice a slight hum, probably due to my long rca cable. I emailed ubid and told them about the grill and hum. To my surprise, I got a call from Joe at Cadence today. He said he would mail out a new grill and wants me to swap the amp for a new one. I said it could be the rca cable. He took me through a process of steps to find the problem, and it was the amp. A circuit was not grounded or something. Anyhow, he's sending out a new amp with a return shipping label for the existing amp. I cannot tell you how nice it is to deal with an etailer as good as Ubid. I just hope they will carry higher end audio in the future like the recent Marantz 8400 receiver that they sold for under $600 this week.
