hello everybody i am new to the forums here but am pretty familiar with audio. my problem is that i have 4 speakers and a sub id like to hook up to my reciever. i hook up all the speakers to 4 sets of speaker plugs. there is another 3 set of plugs that say center. i try to plug the sub into the center and turn it on and then the sub doesnt give output and only 2 speakers give out audio. i press the buttons in front that turn the speakers on and off and it only allows me to play 2 speakers at a time. how can i make all speakers play at the same time? thanks for your help

I have a Kenwood KRF-V7030D so I don't know if the speaker out config would be similar BUT I do know my amp only processes surround sound when all the speaker terminals are used i.e. for 5 channel surround to work you need to have 5 speakers plugged in. If you only have 4 speakers plugged in it will only give you L & R stereo. My amp has a seperate plug for an RCA cable to run to a powered sub which makes it easy to set up, so there should be something similar for your amp. BTW, if you run your sub of the center channel you will only get a dedicated center channel sound out of it. Read your manual.

Hope this helps.;) ;)

Sorry

I just googled your amp and it is much older than mine so you will have to disregard anything I said.
Try to use the surround speaker terminals instead of the " B " outputs. Good luck.

Found a pic of the back on eBay.Use the jacks labelled A and B.Make sure it is in stereo mode, if it is in any of the surround modes the B jacks will not work. If you want surround sound use the Rear L & R jacks.Since there is no sub out jack you will have to use speaker level connections.Use the A jacks.

I hate sound like a dork but what do you mean by this statement:

I have the Kenwood KR-V5570 and I want to hook up my new sub, I know back 13 years ago when I purchase my receiver they had a sub connected to it but I did purchase at that time so I never researched. now I would like to get a sub working. I dont understand this part "Since there is no sub out jack you will have to use speaker level connections.Use the A jacks"
