so, even though most of the time ive owned my kenwood crs-15 i was in the hospital, i love it but its not perfect. it has two 4" midrange/full-range speakers which work great but im sure there is room for improvement in the +10,000 range, so i am thinking of putting in a tweeter in it and i found this at parts express http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-1024
frequency response: 1,320-30,000hz :D. and eventually throw in two of these http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-328

good idea? and i would need to make a crossover for this right?

on second thought, power handling of the woofers is only 40 watts, but im still gonna do the tweeter

Likely that will make things worse. Your next tweeter will have different sensitivity and acoustic response and probably a lot else including impedance.

Gun shot speaker replacements are a waste of time and money.
