I have moved on to a different type of speaker, and so it is time to sell these wonderful KEF IQ8DS. From the renowned British speaker maker, they feature the legendary coincidental tweeter & cone driver assembly. From the KEF website:
As the dipole rear effects speaker for the Q Series, the two 130mm (5 1/4") Uni-Q arrays in the heavily braced curved cabinets of the iQ8ds disperse atmospheric effects encoded in digital soundtracks evenly throughout the listening area to create a sense of place so real you can almost touch it. Perfectly timbre-matched to the rest of the range, transitions are seamless and the detailing impeccable. A simple keyhole mounting system allows effortlessly quick wall insulation. Sit back and enjoy. You can look here to find out all the advantages of the Uni-Q design:

These speakers are ideal for those with limited space, as they can be placed next to the listener and still provide a wide surround soundscape.
Here’s a snippet from a review:
King Kong (2005) had just been released on DVD as I was completing my review for the KEF iQ speakers. Again as the powerful PSW2500 subwoofer rocked the room, the iQ7 brought the epic musical score to life. More intriguing were the rear surrounds, the iQ8ds convinced me Kong was approaching.

The speakers have been babied, like all my equipment. They have always been fed quality amplification, and never driven too hard. I would rate the cabinets/drivers a solid 8/10. The grills are perfect.
The speakers retailed new for $650. I got them for $350 from an authorized dealer. I am asking $250 for the pair, but will consider reasonable offers. Scammers need not respond, as you will be ignored. Cash sale. I also have a pair of IQ7 in black ash in another ad.
My user name on Ebay is cravnsn – I invite you to check out my solid feedback rating there, as both a buyer & seller. Thanks for looking.
