I have two old Kenwood receiver amps that I've been lugging around for years. They are a KR 6340 and 9340 and when you plug them in they look real pretty. They need some work, probably not much, but I just don't have time to look at them now or for the last 10 years. We've moved to a new fixer upper place and space is at a premium. I'm not sure if I should hang on to these beasts and make the dog sleep outside, or dump them and make some space for his sleepy cushion. Are they worth hanging on to, or just boat anchors? My dog needs to know.

thnx,
gnuman

Cant tell you if they are worth hanging onto or not but if you do decide to trash them put a post over at Audiokarma.org first asking if anyone wants them. Its much better to see unwanted equipment go to someone who could use it vs smashed under some big loader in a dump.

If they work, you could always unload them on Ebay or post a for sale notice in the Classified forum on this site.

There is always a steady demand for these older receivers, and so there should be. Don't trash them, get them into the hands of someone that wants them, and will get good service from them. There was a guy yesterday who blew up an older reciever, may be he would take one off your hands?
