I just purchased the Kanex iAdapt 51 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI w/ 5.1 Channel Digital Audio Cable. This is supposed to allow one to view and listen to Macbook through Home Theatre. My Macbook Pro "sees" the MCP(?) display but the display will not come out on the TV when hooking it up to my Onkyo reciever (However, when I hook the cable to the TV, I can see it though the sound will play through the TV speakers and not sound very good).
I have 5 "in" HDMI ports on the receiver and have tried all 5 but to no avail.
Does anyone have any experience with this cable? I have all three connections to my Macbook Pro
