JVC isn't the only company that will sell you a manual. Most companies sell manuals for their products. I guess they figure, if you can't keep up with it, you deserve to be charged. When you buy used from someone, you can blame them for not keeping up with it.
These companies have to pay to have the manuals printed. They aren't cheap either.
Contact Denon, Krell, Yamaha, Rotel, etc..........tell them you bought a used amp or receiver. Ask them for a manual, and see what they tell you!
If you (or anyone) won't buy anything from a company that won't GIVE you a manual, you may never buy another piece of equipment.
