I found a nice looking rear projection JVC on sale for $1700 (including tax & delivery). I realize this isn't the most high-end set available but it looks great for $1700.

Joel, I think is an excellent buy but it's a discontinued model.

No, there is nothing wrong with buying a discontinued model, as long the dealer gives a full manufacturer warranty.
