Just learned that David Weems passed earlier this year! :(

For those not in the know, David Weems wrote several books on Speaker Design. Anyone pursuing a basic understanding of how to design Speakers would do well to read his work. It may not be the ultimate source, but still a good and important starting point.

I actually own one of his books. I had copied a chapter in one of his older books, in which he was explaining in detail how to build a vented woofer box using a 6th order alignment as well as the schematics for building the appropriate EQ circuit.

He will be remembered as one of the hi-fi pioneers and teachers.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. He was one of the great audio authorities and I learned a lot from his articles. I not he nearly made the century. He was one of the great speaker engineers.
