Just picked up a pair of PSB Imagine B and a centre Imagine speaker from Soundseller.com. I got a pretty good deal as they are blemished, I saved about $600 at least. I also picked up a Marantz SR7002 so I've got a sweet new system on the way. Gotta say thanks to audioholics because I wouldn't have found the info or websites without you guys!

On a side note, I'm going to need speaker stands for the Imagine B's; does it matter if the stands I buy have a smaller width than the speakers (7.5" speaker on a 6.5" stand)?

nice speaks.....I like them better than B & W at their pricepoint and almost pulled the trigger at Saturday Audio Exchange a few mos back....they were listed as 87db efficiency but seemed easy to drive with modest Denon amp being used...the dark cherry are beauts....The place here in FL indicated you need only to make sure that back ports are 18" from a wall

PSB has too many speaker lines these days; I'm confused as to which ones are supposed to be better than which others. Is Synchrony or Platinum the flagship? Is Imagine better or worse than the new Image series that looks like them? What the hell is G Design?

Go to the PSB site and put your mouse over the products link. It lists them nicely in order.

Tragically Hip fan? I love their first 4 releases.
Absolutely...Day For Night will be the first thing played on my new system :D

I love all their releases, although their last one was a bit inconsistent imo.

Well, I'm not sure but my interpretation is this:

PSB has two top lines, Platinum and Synchrony. Both are very fine. IMHO, Synchrony is a bit better but I haven't heard the Platinum line as much. The Synchrony Series are built in China.

PSB has two mid lines: Imagine and G-Design. Both seem to be very good. I haven't heard any of them but the measurements of the Imagine T6 are excellent. The Imagine Series are built in China.

PSB's low priced line is the Image series. I haven't heard them but the measurements of the B25 and B6 are really good.

PSB's budget line is the Alpha series.

Well I got the speakers this weekend and have to say I'm very happy with them. Music sounds very clear and well defined, and I'm very impressed with the centre channel speaker. I didn't consider the centre channel a whole lot when searching for speakers as I was focused on finding a good stereo pair, but the the Imagine C is really nice. The dialogue on movies and tv is really crisp and clear, there is much more definition than my previous speakers (which were total junk Jensen speakers I picked up at Radio Shack years ago). :D
