Just bought a Yamaha BD-A1010 from the Audioholics store

Pretty interesting unit, but hard to find and they had a good price. Ive had an Oppo 93 and several gens of Panasonics (2011/10/09), and they've been my favorite so far. Looking forward to owning my first Yamaha anything.

I contacted them directly about the video chipset, and they said it was proprietary. I kinda thought it woulda had the HQV chip like the rcvr's, but I guess not.

Just got one as well

Just ordered one late last week as well.. Was my only option under $500 from what I saw as I need the discrete audio outputs... looking forward to seeing what it can do with my Samsung 7000 series display...

I am assuming it is in stock since it was listed on the site.. no word yet about that..

I have not heard, its not in stock anywhere else, and the store has not yet replied to my email. Not shipped yet AFAIK.

OK, so I called em. Phone service was great, I guess they just dont understand how to answer emails.

Yamaha's first shipment is due into them in the next day or two, then they will ship from Audioholics.

I was just about to call them today to ask.. thanks for doing the legwork for me.

Kinda annoying that they don't provide status on shipping right in your account.. or rather at least tell you a estimate on shipping.. Then again maybe that is just me being used to the amazing ordering systems and customer service from places like B&H, Newegg, etc etc.

I got the same notice just now.

Does not seem to be in stock anywhere.
I really need a quality 3D Blu Ray player with full 7.1 discrete outputs.. that is the only one I saw that had that around 300-400... unless there is a model out there I am not aware of.
