ive recently aquired a Denon PMA 700 V pre-main amp a denon DCD 1500 cd player a Hitachi D 900 single well cassette deck and a Kenwood KR 4400 receiver that im using as a tuner until i upgrade to the Marantz ST7001. which im pushing through a pair of KEF c-80 series speakers. the hitachi tape deck seems to possibly need a rebelting is it worth getting repaired or should i upgrade also im looking for a graphic equalizer any reccomendations

The Hitachi D-900 was a pretty cool looking deck. If you can find somebody to re-belt the drives for a reasonable price, why not? You won't find anything like that in today's gear.

As far as equalizers, if you're looking for vintage you might be able to find an ADC Sound Shaper on Ebay or Craig's List. If you're looking for new try a Behringer.
