May as well had been drinking to think these speakers are worth fixing … maybe ganja ..
sometimes i should cut my losses , even infinity bookshelves are or something similar when on sale is a lot better..
lack of responses means they’re not worth it if I already have working speakers.

You really do not need to spend a lot of $ to get excellent audio!
There are many examples of budget/entry level gear that will get you audio quality that is better than 90% of anybody else.
The trick is to be wise and selective with your $, sometimes you may have to wait for the right deal to come along, and be ready to act immediately with the $ when the right deal pops up (if you don't the next guy will).
Excellent example-- About 3 years back the entire DCM line of speakers was discontinued. These were getting blown out at silly clearance prices, and many of us on here jumped on these. I have a set of towers in my living room that are
excellent speakers, and I paid maybe $250 for the pair. For the prices we paid on these, nothing else could really compete!
Someone on this site has a quote in their signature, I don't remember who, but the quote is, "I spent a lot of money on audio equipment in order to learn that I didn't need to spend a lot of $ on audio equipment".
