How did you know I was lurking around the store?

I'm hoping this will solve all the glitches in the HDMI when playing the HD movies on the PS3 or HD-A2. I need to read the threads on how to pass the True Dolby, etc.. through HDMI when it arrives. The Sierra's could use the extra power as well.

Just got the e-mail that the Marantz has shipped with estimated delivery on Thursday. The DHL tracking indicated Michigan. Is that where the store is or just where it is drop shipped from. No matter it will be fun.

The Marantz arrived today. The manual is an inch thick. I likely will not be able to install in the family room till this weekend. Instant upgrade for my sons with the current Marantz going to my oldest son's house and his JVC going to my youngest son's room. Will the PS3 pass the True Dolby to the Marantz via HDMI if bitstream is selected or is a higher end Blu-ray player required? With 4 HDMI inputs I hope 2 will work without glitches. Thanks to the Audioholics store for shipping so quickly.

Did you open it up, and take pictures of the inside like a true Audioholic would? Make sure you wrap that receiver in tape to make it sound better.

My oldest son Clint came over while I was still at the office and setup and connected the new receiver. He also did all the firmware updates on the Toshiba. I tried several times and could never establish the internet connection. Oh well, youth must be served.

I take it that the PS3 should be set to bitrate? I got a message that some audio might not function. We watched Spiderman3 selecting True Dolby and the sound ws really cool. My first uncompresed movie experience. And hurray! no HDMI glitches.

The learning process must now commence.
