Could well be bad for Spotify. They haven't been able to do much about their lossless promises, they've lost money forever, and this split personality whether they should be providing music or catering to talking heads (or in the case of audio only podcasts, is it talking headless?)....

I wouldn't do that if I were an artist. Spotify is one of the best platforms to stream your music on, and Many listeners prefer it over others. Even though not all people use it, it's still preferred by the majority. =
Best for who particularly, tho? Does it encourage actual revenue to the artist particularly? I do use spotify myself, and could care less about Rogan....or podcasts in general tho. Now I see bandcamp has been taken over by Epic Games (Fortnight is their big one) who in turn is owned by Ten Cent/Spotify....the consolidation continues.
