Anybody hear of this band? Sort of a southern rock/blues kind of thing. And really, really impressive!
I just listened to their last (2008) album, Orange Blossoms, which pretty much knocked me flat on my butt! Not a duff song in the bunch, and some pretty steamy and hard blues-y stuff.
Add to that that the CD is impeccably recorded. I had zero listening fatigue during the 55 minutes, which I assume is due to the lack of compression of dynamic range. And everything sounded wonderfully live. Quality of recording is superb!
I highly recommend anyone who loves the blues and southern rock to check this album out! (Wikipedia says their genres also cross into soul, funk and R&B, but to me, it feels thoroughly southern rock and blues.)
