I would be much thankful if anyone in this forum help me out solving the issue I am facing with my new home theater system; Harman Kardon AVR 170 + JBL 190 (2 Floor standing 3.5 way speakers, Built-in Sub) + JBL 130 (2 Bookshelf rear Speakers) + JBL 120 (Center speaker) + JBL Sub 150P.

I have set everything as per the owners manual, and tried all the possible changes in settings, but yet the sound clarity I get is very poor while all speakers are in active mode. The sound clarity dramatically increases (in terms of both bass and treble) once the Sub woofer is deactivated through the speaker setting option in the AVR. Does this indicate a problem in the AVR that can not supply equal power to all channels including the pre-amp or something else?

I am eagerly looking for help...........

Did you plug the subwoofer into the wrong spot?

Dear Isiberian,

The subwoofer is connected through the pre-amp out, the only output that the Harman Kardon 170 AVR has for the subwoofer.

Dear BSA,

Sorry for the unprofessional terminologies. I am very new to this field.

And lots of thanks for sharing the links, I will go through those.

Warm regards,
