Buyer beware! I have not heard and have no idea of the quality of these. They are dirt cheap and from a known brand. If you are looking for a sub for low volume (small room, kids room) HT on a budget, this is probably your ticket. Also likely a step up from many budget 2.1 PC gaming systems (which use 6.5"-8" drivers).

I have made comments and posted what useful info I can find below.

FWIW (very little), JBL puts the MSRP at $250.

It might not be a bad option for rounding out a pair of small BS speakers in a small room, but I always worry about boominess in a ported design which has no EQ capability. The Dayton Audio series has convinced me that it can be done well, but the 10" Dayton Audio SUB-1000 cost 50% more at $120.

Listed as 150 watts, but no mention of RMS watts. Maximum power consumption at 175 Watts assures that it is not 150 Watts RMS!
Frequency response listed as 35Hz to 180Hz. I found a foreign review with FR curves (see below) for Port, Driver, and (my assumption) Driver with crossover at lowest frequency. My best read of the FR puts the -3dB point at maybe 140Hz, so not sure how well it would integrate with tiny satellites (which often cross around 150Hz). The 35Hz spec on the low end matches the FR curve, as I read it.

Newegg has 5 reviews that are pretty critical at 3.2/5. Main complaints seem to be from pushing output limits beyond this unit's capability.
Amazon has 15 reviews and rate it as pretty decent at 4.4/5:

Best picture I could find of driver:

Here is a link to a German review of the Loft 5.1 system (including the SP 150) which states:
150 Watt RMS- und 300 Watt Maximalleistung (kurzzeitig) stehen auf dem Datenblatt. Der Frequenzgang reicht von 35 Hz bis 180 Hz (-/+ 3 dB)

I'm guessing that's 1/2" mdf ^ (it definitely isn't 3/4")

If anyone gets one, let us know how (if) it works for you!

AreaDVD always goes very in depth on the build and I like that a lot. They don't just pick and choose what to take apart. If it can be taken apart, they take it apart.

Got me wanting this for my PC setup. arrrggg. Man if it goes down to $60 a no-brainer.
