JBL LSR305 Sound

I have a pair of JBL LSR305 studio monitor speakers connected to a Focusrite audio interface. I use it for my Maschine Studio (music production box). They sound good, but not compared to when I listen in my headphones, which is also connected to the Focusrite.

I didn't know if there was a setting or something that I'm missing. It seems in my headphones that I can hear the real subtle sounds way better.. it may just be the difference between listening on headphones vs speakers.

Headphones will always capture detail much better than speakers. Those are good speakers, so don't sweat it if you are hearing a bit more with your headphones. Headphones do not have to contend with all the acoustics of loudspeakers. A lot more is going on.
