Audiophyte
HI,
I am new to the "audiophile" world, cause i am generally a studio guy. But recently two JBL l220's were given to me. They need to be refoamed, but i think i can get that done or do it myself. I was wondering what i should power them on. I don't want to spend anything over 150 and i am aware that there isn't much i can get. I am not afraid of buying something used, scratched or anything. as long as it runs. Are there any names i should look for?
ok thanks
-Travis

If your a studio guy why not just use a studio amp if you have an extra amp laying aroung, you can usually pick up used amps at most guitar centers or look on ebay,a decent used pro amp that should sell for $100 or less is the Alesis ra100.

As for refoaming the speakers yourself if your generally a handy kinda guy & you have patience for time consuming things than you could probably refoam them just make sure when you buy the refoam kit that the kit contains the shims & glue as well as the surround material.
