jbl e60 & e80 vs yammy ns555 &ns777 ???

My budget for a speaker system just went down........ I need to know which is best for sports and movies...... although I do listen to music occasionally.

I'm an unabashed fan of the Studio Series JBL's. If the E series is close, I'd go with them. I've owned Yammie speakers and found them lacking in full-range dynamics. But...stay away from JBL subwoofers. I'd rather root around in pig slop than own one of those again.

But what's most important is what sounds good to your ears. Listen to both. That RX-V2600 will drive either with great ease!

I would choose the Yamahas myself. (but definitely the 777's)

I'm not a fan of the E series JBL speakers. I'd have to say go with the 777's. The dual 8" woofers would definitely put out some bass. You should also consider the Venturi DV64's or DV84's. They are similarly priced.

I need to know .....

I like the 777 but I am worried I dont have enough room...... I am in a 20x 18
room but will have a crt + cabinet surrounds on both sides against the 16 ft side. these speakers are 15 /34 deep how much space do they need on the sides and back to optimize the sound ???
