JBL amps

I have a chance to get a MPC200 amp from JBL and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their amps. I was wondering about fan noise and if this amp would work well powering a sub.

If you want to buy a pro audio amp, choose one with heat sensitive fans. As you probably know, home audio installations don't require much power so such amps aren't likely to get warm enough to deploy the fans. My recommendation is this series.

Thanks, I can get the JBL for $150.00 so it is pretty cheap. I have 2 Crown CTS600's running my main and surrounds and they are really quiet but I don't know about the JBL. From what I can find the amp is high passed at 50hz so it would need an adjustment to run a sub. It does 450w at 8ohms bridged so it should make a good center channel amp even if I need to mod the fan or because like you say they don't get very hot in HT use so I might even be able to just disable the fan if needed.
