I need suggestions, alternatives, advice on whether i should get this set?
Anyone of you having this baby? I've read a few reviews and was thinking to seek advice from this great community. Price comparison wise, is it worth it?

The big question I have is why are you looking at commercial surrounds designed specifically for commercial cinema ?

Considering the synthesis stuff with the beryllium drivers is maad expensive, and these offer similar performance, my question is why not?

I suppose you could use it but it's not designed that way. These are designed for very large auditoriums. 400-1000 seats. The 8350 also has the x-curve roll off built in, so the speaker is also rolling off the highs by 3db per octave starting at 2k. Typically in smaller screening room you would use .5 to 1.5 per octave depending on the size of the room.
