Saw it last night. Action was good, but the filming was again the issue. TOO MUCH HAND CAM. It makes the action feel more frenetic, but also makes it hard to follow at times. I don't know why this director likes to shoot like this, but the second film had this issue and I hated it (same director). At this point, the story is very familiar and rolls out very similarly to the other films, though this one managed to hold up for the most part. It adds more to the backstory of Bourne and fit in well with the series IMO. It didn't cliffhanger into certainty of another film, but leaves the door wide open. Story didn't feel totally fresh, but was at least trying to be relevant with today's tech.
They tried poorly to discuss and involve tech in this one and sort of failed for anyone who knows anything. Showing a techie looking building and saying "XXX company location:Silicon Valley" rather than an actual location, which doesn't quite fit when the film is screened here...and it didn't even look like here lol (could be, probably not). Hollywood clearly doesn't have a good grasp of the things they're trying to talk about in many cases and this one felt like a good example to me - I've seen TV shows with better grasp of tech.
IMO, rental not a must see in theaters, but it was an entertaining evening out. It was a mixed bag, but not a bad action flick.
