Well, Jamo - the company has been bought by Klipsch, which itself is owned by VOXX Int - the same guys who own Audiovox, RCA and Jensen
Their strategy is pretty simple - buy a respectable brand (like Jensen and Acoustic Research ones were) and sell cheap crap to make a quick buck.
Then brand reputation gets trashed - no problem - lets move to another brand.
I don't expect anything less from new products from Jamo
That said, C803 is an luckily a older design and the quality should still be there.
We even have a small review here:
Jamo C803 Bookshelf Speaker Review — Reviews and News from Audioholics
Jamo speakers are not getting frequent recommendations around here, possibly undeserved, but this is how things are...
I could tell you that paying $800 for them - is a full blown retail, something I'm highly against.
My recommendation to you is to listed to them with your favorite music, preferably at your home.
One way to get this done is to get speakers with free in home trial, like Aperion audio offers, specifically the Verus Grand Bookshelf Speakers
They are very highly recommended and offer amazing performance at their price point - $600/pair
