I own an EMB-1500 subwoofer and it is one of the most musical subs on the market, no doubt. It works really well for HT too but I was so impressed with it for music I moved it in with my VSA VR-4SR MKII's, crossed over at 40 hz, and couldn't be happier. for a reference of comparison, I have owned a Velo DD-15 and 12, Earthquake Supernova MKV-12 and MKV-15, Paradigm Servo 15, several SVS models, HSU VTF-2 & 3, B&W ASW4000 as well as a few others and none (all mentioned included) were as musical to me as the EMB. I will say that I do feel they are a little over priced retail but they do sound very good.
