I have a Sony AV Receiver and a Panasonic DVD.. Ive been using a Fibre Optic Cable For my Dolby DTS and all has worked great for months. now
Today I went to watch a Movie, and my DTS was Gone !! No Sound at all from the fibre Optic , I can connect my DVD to my receiver with regular RCA cables and I get sound... when I connect the Fibre Optic , Nada ,Nothing

My Question is this, Is the red light in the fibre optic supposed to be blinking when hooked up to the DVD or is it supposed to be steady ON?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated ,I just built my own 100" Screen and have an In Focus Screenplay 4805 on the way.........

Glad to see you got it working again. Those damn receivers have a mind of their own sometimes- I've spend 20 minutes trying to get sound only to find I've muted it or hooked up on an output jack thinking I'd used an input.
