I've got green push. Help me future-proof myself?

Ok, so my JVC RS-1u is an AWESOME piece of equipment. Things I know, and some things that I've read:

-my PJ suffers in color accuracy, perhaps with green push being the worst culprit.
-its time for me to put in the Avia disc again, I will, I will, but I don't think its going to do enough
-dying bulbs might make for funkier colors. Someone once said that my bulb seems to really die after 500 hrs, which I am past.
-color correction as it should* be done with my PJ is not really possible, unless I add a $3,000 Lumagen Radiance XD.

Ok, so this green push only bothers me in one regard: Faces can sometimes have a greenish tint to them in very dark movies. I think of Underworld and Dark City, for instance. However, its possible with the latter that there is greenish, darkish light throughout, but what I'm getting is more than that I am led to believe.

What do I do?

sit tight, and just deal with it for X amount of years, until I upgrade?
do I save up for extremely expensive video processing?

For someone who is ONLY a consumer, and does not have any plans to work in the AV field (well, not yet anyways, lol), would it be beneficial to get training in ISF calibration? How much is such training in costs and time, and would it actually be worth it in the long run?

If everything or almost everything can be learned in such a course, I would hope that I could benefit for the rest of my life in obtaining accurate colors.

Thanks for reading the blabber. I'm just not sure what to do about it, or not sure if I should do nothing more about it.
