Not entirely true. Itunes wasn't hacked. This sounds like a stand alone program. Not a software hack. The process described can already be done by other programs. Any program that can copy the "stereo mix" on a computer can basically do the same thing.
Although, the big advantage to this program is that it does everything in a much faster time frame. Copying the stereo mix can only be done in real time. I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion about the ability to copy the "stereo mix" output.
