the above is what lead me to promise my wife things I could not do in order to get this sub...

I didn't see anything that said back order and the site says your CC will not be charged until it ships. Well, me CC has been charged - and for the first time, I am happy about that fact

I'm sure you have already thought of placement for your new SVS, but I strongly suggest you use the crawl on all four method detailed at Audioholics and recommended by SVS.

I ordered my 20-39PC Plus on Oct 12, it shipped on the 25th and I received it on the 27th. It also came with a heafty fee.

I think you will notice clean, distortion free bass edwelly. My previous sub, the Athena Sub 8 distorted easily. Of course I had it turned up to 7 on the volume.

My room sucks for home theater. Two corners open to the kitchen another corner has my tower in it and then last corner has a cabinet in it. I could change the room around, but there are powers above me .

I am still playing around with the sub placement(only inches to deal with) and the settings, so I am not 100% satisfied with my new sub .

Good luck with your new sub edwelly, I hope you have an easier time with the placement etc. than I did .

Just got the email that the sub has shipped...

As far as placment goes, honestly I do not have a lot of options due to the way my room is set up. See the attachment.

As far as distoration free, I have yet to get my system below -35 on the ole dial. I wanted a sub that is very musical and will work for HT. Granted I use the system for 70% HT, but I really like my music

This is going to be brief as I am too busy enjoying my new sub. It took some serious playing around with it and I am no where near completed BUT I have it set ok enough to listen to. First impression (before I started playing around with it) was "this doesn't sound that much better than what I already had" - after listening to some Guy Clark for a good while, I adjusted the gain and phase level on the sub and then it really started to sing. After I felt it was a definite improvement, I put in the Fast and the Furious DVD (dts version) and cranked it up. The opening scene was AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much SVS for building something this awesome at a price I could afford. My wife was very pleased with the dvd as well.
Anyway, I am off to enjoy it. I am going to write up a review of the sub minus all the technical stuff . One thing I am having trouble getting used to is the variable phase adjustment. I am not understanding this concept - my thoughts are either the speaker is in phase or it's out of phase....

.....EdWelly, I have found taking the phase knob away from "0", brings effects I don't like....adjust your sub using the bass tone controls to the other speakers....try flat first, then maybe bring a little increase....congratulations on choosing the SVS PB-10 ISD....that 10 inch cone gives a wonderful voice to the top of it's range....enjoy that sub for awhile, then git anothern, haha.......
