I purchased a refurbished marantz cd6004 from accessories4less recently and I'm having some intermittent issues that are driving me a bit nuts. The CD player is working beautifully right now but I have had intermittent issues. Sometimes I get a thumping sound from the CD player mechanism which is very noticeable. It doesn't happen often but it sounds as if something is unbalanced. I can make it go away by opening and closing the CD mechanisms. Sometimes the electronics don't work right. I have trouble opening the CD player or there is gibberish in the electronic read out. I can fix this by plugging and unplugging the CD player. I guess it's time to call Marantz to have it warrantied but it's weird that the problems are intermittent; most of the time it works great.
