I have an issue and am completely dumb-founded. I recently bought a LG BD390, and hooked it up to my HK 347 via HDMI running a 2.1 setup. Everything was fine for 2 weeks, and then the audio cut out in the middle of watching a movie. I basically got ANOTHER LG BD390 (thinking the issue was the player) and after one week, the audio cut out again? I dont know what to do. Has anyone had a similar issue like this?

HELP ME PLEASE!!!

If it's the same spot, then it's very likely the disc itself. Get a different copy. Report back.

Also, you should definitely update the FW on your player if you haven't yet, as that could be a possibility, though I'm guessing it's the disc. Even if it is the disc's fault, I recommend you update FW. Typically, when you get a new bluray player, it often comes with an ancient FW version.

thanks for the quick reply. Firmware on both the Blu ray player and HK receiver are up to date. Tried 3 different blu ray discs- Gamer, The Intevention of Lying, and Ninja

My settings on the blu ray are- HDMI: Multi-Channel PCM and SPDIF: Stereo

Hm. So the audio drops out on all of these three titles? You have both HDMI and SPDIF connected?

I would perhaps ask in the LG390 owner's thread.

Ok, I just found the HK347 thread for you, but I see that you have already posted there.

I'm sorry I can't help you more, atm, but please do report back what you discover. Good luck!!

SPDIF is digital audio - specifically optical and coax digital audio.
