Is this really a good deal?

Ok so I'm thinking about picking up the Martin Logan Encore TF center channel for $199 (Originally $500). Is this really a steal at that price? Right now I'm running something well below Martin Logan standards (Energy speakers to be specific) and I just really don't want to be throwing my money away. Your thoughts???

If you're running timbre matched Martin Logan speakers for your mains and surrounds, it could be a good deal.

I'm running a 5.1 Energy system right now but my thought was that the Martin Logan center channel would be a nice upgrade to the system and then I would just slowly upgrade everything. Do you think that is a smart move?

The front three speakers should be matched. Somehow, I get the feeling they are discontinuing that series. Unless you can get the matching ML mains now, I don't think it would be a good move.

Save your $$ until you can get a pair of mains and a matching center at the same time. ...or even three of those centers would work, but don't count on being able to get them in the future.
