Is this Junk?

Going to do a multiple room stereo set up and was thinking about using a volume control (maybe one outside as well) I have heard people reccomend niles, but there like $100 (not that important for me) I found these are they crap? and what kind of quality do you really need with a volume control like this. Thanks

The brand is unfamiliar to me, but this should be fine for what you are going to use it for.
