All my life I've known the word is spelled "they" but I often catch myself writing "thay" even though i know better. What's up with that?

I don't hardly write anymore unless its numbers and my name... I remember years back writing invoices- now its done with a tablet, writing proposals- now its all digital and printed, used to write checks- now they are printed, I DON'T even write on envelopes any more, we have a pitney bowes envelope printer at the office, and my return address is all printed out on little stickers for me...

So most of the writing I do is actually typing, I can not remember the last time I wrote more than 20 words on a piece of paper... But I have gotten some bad habits, I no longer feel the need to distinguish between things like their, they're, there, ect or write rite right ect

What about Thy? Thyne? Thou? :D Just sayin.
I don't talk like that so I don't think I would type using them words :D ... Sometimes I just don't feel like using apostrophes or RITING the word RITE, even though right is only an extra letter, rite is much faster to type.. My grammar is really old, she just bakes cookies and knits blankets all day...

You've heard of writer's block? This is called writer's lisp. Ex: "Thay, thith quiche ith thimply divine, and your ramekinth are darling". It is seen frequently in San Francisco, less often in Dallas. You should work on it.
