Is this an HDMI to HDMI cable?

looks like it is ... though i'd be curious how you install in the wall a 3 foot length of cable :)

you can sell the other cable or you can use it to connect your PC to your display.

Some older STBs use DVI. Some older displays, namely front projectors, use DVI. Some people hook up their laptops to their display with DVI.

Otherwise, I'm certain Monoprice will take it back from you.

You sure you want the cable in white? Here's the complete list of 1.3 HDMI below. BTW, if your run is very short, I'd actually think about getting a thinner cable, because the mono hdmi cables are really beefy and don't bend that easy. I'm fine with mine, but I sure as heck play with them as little as possible.

I posted the wrong length, but yeah.

Unfortunately, I own a laptop which only has HDMI out.

Also, should is there any difference in quality between 24 and 28 AWG?

like jostenmeat said, you should just return it to monoprice.

if they're going in wall and be a long length, i'd pick the heavier gauge (24 AWG) though i doubt it matters for picture quality.

You can get a dvi-HDMI adapter and use it to connect a receiver to a tv, since you won't need audio for that cable anyway.
