Hi I hope this isn't a dumb question but could you run a pair of Pardigm studio 100's off a Denon 3806 using its pre-outs for a external amp and use the recievers amp to drive the center and surrounds? Is this a good idea or should a less expensive avr be used for this kind of set-up?How would the studios sound set-up in this manner?

thanks.
Jamie.

Absolutly, It will take some of the burden off your reciever. That is what the pre-outs are for.:)

Just make sure you recalibrate everything when you have the amp hooked up.
