is this a good deal worth fighting for or waisting time?

i went to circet city and they had some shelf models for sale there were open box i cudda got a three of these http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Polk-Home-Theater-Speaker-RM7300/sem/rpsm/oid/140845/catOid/-12884/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do with two smaller satilites of the same brand model and make plus the sub woofer of the same model and make for 229$ do think its woth it cuz they were a liltle dirty and beat up plus i dunno if the woffer was at 100% should i still get it if it dont work i guess i can alawys return it but i think a manager was trying to keep it fpr him self i will need to fight for them what should i do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I would stay away from beat up open box stuff....the customers in those stores are brutal to the shelf demo's.

They might be HTIB quality, if that is ok for you, but they look like they might be better. If they look acceptable to you in appearance (imagine after cleanup) and none of the speakers are blown, then I think it looks like a deal. I don’t think you can’t buy much of a speaker set for $229 but I have not shopped in that price range. Anyway at $229 I don’t think you are taking too much risk. Try them for a few days and if you don’t like them take them back (if they do that on clearance items). You could probably turn around and sell them for $229 to someone else if you don’t like them.

I noticed that just one main speaker retails for $399. They should be pretty good for that price. It looks like it would be a lot better than HTIB.

what should i do

do u think i should drop all other thoughts and go for this i see that they go for 400$ a peice or rather they did but there a little beat up its open box thats the thing but 4 speakers and a woofer for 229$ and the thing is i think some one in the store wants it and i might have to make a fuss to get them i wudda bought them but the manager dissapered on me i was at the store 4 hrs trying to get them!!!but ill go back and get some one fired for those speakers not being sold to me after getting a price and all and then jerkin me at the end!!
